In het afgelopen jaar heb ik de eer gehad om dit hele mooie project te mogen realiseren: De curaçao-encyclopedia op het gelijknamige Internetadres, waar U, als U dit welkomstwoord tot zichzelf aan het nemen bent, naar toe zijt komen surfen. Het is een onderneming die mij reeds lang op het hart lag, maar waaraan ik steeds weer om de één of andere reden geen aandacht kon besteden. Het is nu, een jaar nadat het toetsenbord voor de eerste keer werd aangeroerd, zover, dat de eerste fase, noem hem maar gerust versie 1.5, want de allereerste productie is al behoorlijk aangepast, klaar voor Uw zoektocht naar informatie over Curaçao ligt. Alvorens U echter daaraan begint, wil ik U toch aanraden om het onderdeel “over de encyclopedie”, waarin de “inleiding” wordt behandeld te lezen, met name hoofdstuk 1 sectie 5, “de zoekfunctie”. De informatie die U daar krijgt stelt U in staat om doelgerichter door de site te navigeren. En laat het niet na om via het contactmechanisme ons Uw mening te doen toekomen. Wij stellen het zeer op prijs en U bezit wellicht informatie die ons in staat stelt om de curaçao-encyclopedia verder uit te bouwen tot het beste naslagwerk ten behoeve van ons eiland.
Deze eerste editie is het werk van slechts één persoon, maar een encyclopedie is zeker geen eenmansproject. Zie hiervoor ook de accreditaties bij de inleiding. Hierbij wil ik toch van de gelegenheid gebruik maken om een hartelijk dankwoord uit te spreken aan een speciale groep personen: De ontwerpers van Spin Webdesign: Jora De Jong en haar digitale kunstenaars. Hun inbreng ter realisatie van deze Internetlocatie is van bijzonder grote waarde geweest maar des te meer zo was hun vriendelijke en behulpzame ontvangst. Jora, echt hartelijk bedankt!

In the past year, I have been honored to realize this beautiful project: The curaçao-encyclopedia which is located on the Internet address of the same name, towards which you have arrived, navigating on your digital surfboard if you are digesting this word of welcome. This undertaking has burned my heart for a long time, but for one reason or the other, up till recently I was unable to find myself in the possibility, to dedicate attention to it. Now we stand finally before the inauguration of this first edition, one year after the first keystroke was emitted. You may freely refer to it as version 1.5, as the very first production has been modified quite a bit already. She now lies at your feet awaiting your quest towards information on Curaçao. Before you take the first leap, however, you are strongly recommended to read first the “inleiding” (introduction), chapter 1 section 3 (the search engine) in the main fragment entitled “over de encyclopedie” (about the encyclopedia). The information provided there will enable you to navigate the site more effectively. And do not refrain either from using the contact mechanism in order to provide us with your opinion, which we are to appreciate deeply. You might just have information, that is to enable us to continue expanding the curaçao-encyclopedia into the best reference work about the island.
This first edition may indeed be the labor of just one person, but an encyclopedia is not a one man project. You are invited to read more about this in introduction chapter 3, section 4: Accreditations. Still, here we would like to make use of the opportunity, to utter words of sincere gratitude to the following group of people: Spin Webdesign: Jora De Jong and her team of graphical artists. En el pasado año he tenido el gran honor de poder realizar este bonito proyecto: El curaçao-encyclopedia en el sitio-net del mismo nombre, a la cual Usted llego surfeando, si esta digeriendo estas palabras bienvenideñas. Era un proyecto que hace mucho me habia  estado quitando la tranquilidad al corazon, mientras que, por varios motivos, me era inoportuna dedicarle el tiempo. Ahora sinembargo este primer fase, que Usted libremente puede entitular version 1.5, siendo que la produccion original ya fue adaptada extensamente, descansa a sus pies, listo a responder a sus inquietudes de busqueda de informacion sobre Curaçao. Antes de enprender ese viaje sinembargo, quisiera recomendarle la lectura en primer instante del capitulo 1  “inleiding” (introduccion), seccion 3 (proceduras de busqueda) en la parte entitulada “over de encyclopedie” (detayando la encyclopedia). La informacion aqui para Usted reservada, le pondra en la posibilidad de navegar el sitio de una forma mas efectiva. Le exhortamos ademas con mucha insistencia, que no le reste a nosotros la comunicacion de su opinion atravez del mecanismo de comunicacion fasilmente accessible. Hemos de apreciar sus comentarios u otras observaciones e informaciones que de seguro nos ayude a extender la
curaçao-encyclopedia en el mejor documento de referencia obtenible aserca de la isla.

Esta primera edicion siertamente ha sido el trabajo de una sola persona. Pero la construccion de una encyclopedia de ninguna forma es una produccion de un solo hombre. Le recomendamos leer mas sobre esta parte en la introduccion donde se trate las accreditaciones. Pero no nos queda aqui otra opcion sino aquel de hacer con placer uso de esta oportunidad para extender nuestras gracias especiales a un grupo remarcable de personas: Spin Webdesign: Jora De Jong i su grupo de genios digitales.
